Surrogates court is open to accept filing; new filings (for new cases) and additional filings for existing cases. AO 115/20 https://www.nycourts.gov/whatsnew/pdf/AO-115-20.pdf provides for the easing of restrictions and allows for the filing of new matters and additional filings in existing matters in the 9th JD effective May 27, 2020

Depending on the court access can be by NYSCEF, EDDS or mail for initial filings, and thereafter by NYSCEF or EDDS or paper depending on the status of the filer.

FROM THE NORTH OR THE SOUTH VIA THE NY STATE THRUWAY
Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 18 (New Paltz). Turn right onto Route 299 to Route 9W. Turn right onto Route 9W South to the Mid Hudson (Franklin Delano Roosevelt) Bridge. After crossing the bridge to Poughkeepsie, at the third traffic light go left onto Market Street to the Courthouse at 10 Market Street at the corner of Market Street and Main Street. Public parking is available on Market Street.

FROM THE NORTH OR THE SOUTH VIA THE TACONIC STATE PARKWAY
Exit the Taconic Parkway at Route 55 WEST TO POUGHKEEPSIE. Route 55 merges with Route 44 and Mill Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, and converges to one way three lane highway. Proceed in the left lane to the end. Turn left and at the next intersection turn left onto Market Street to the Courthouse at 10 Market Street at the corner of Market Street and Main Street. Public parking is available on Market Street.

FROM THE EAST VIA ROUTE 55 TOWARD POUGHKEPSIE
Route 55 merges with Route 44 and Mill Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, and converges to a one way three lane highway. Proceed in the left lane to the end. Turn left and at the next intersection turn left onto Market Street to the Courthouse at 10 Market Street at the corner of Market Street and Main Street. Public parking is available on Market Street.
