Genesee County Surrogate’s Court

The Surrogate’s Court hears cases relating to individuals who have passed away, including disagreements about wills and the proper way to manage or divide the estate (total assets and liabilities).

Surrogate’s Court also hears Guardianship matters, relating to appointing a Guardian over a person to make decisions on their health and welfare,  investments and savings (as directed by a judge), or both.
