The Surrogate’s Court hears cases relating to individuals who have passed away, including disagreements about wills and the proper way to manage or divide the estate (total assets and liabilities). Surrogate’s courts are also authorized to handle adoptions.

- Take the New York State Thruway to Kingston Exit 19.
- Pay toll and proceed to the traffic circle.
- After entering the circle, take the 1st exit off of the traffic circle following the signs for Ellenville. Proceed on Route 209 to Route 17 West Exit 104 for Monticello.
