Buffalo Divorce Lawyer Explains How Much a Divorce will Cost

Buffalo Divorce LawyerWhen potential clients come into see me as an experienced Buffalo Divorce Lawyer, one of their most important questions is how much the divorce process is going to cost them and how they are going to pay for it. That’s a very good question to which there really is no easy answer. Essentially, the easier it is to resolve the case – the fewer court appearances and meetings you have to have – the less it will cost. If the divorce is very contentious and the husband and wife argue over many issues such as child custody and money, it’s going to take a lot longer and cost a lot more. In our office, a no fault divorce ranges from $1,500 to $2,000. Contested divorces normally run about $4,500. Again, if your divorce is highly contested and requires a lot of court intervention, or if there’s a lot of time-consuming disagreement between the two parties, it’s going to cost a lot more.
