Recoverable Damages in a Child Injury Case

Do you have questions about recoverable damages in a child injury case? Our experienced Lawyer in Buffalo,  Michael Ranzenhofer explains in the following video.

When people come in to our office and they’ve scheduled an appointment because their child has been injured, one of the first things they want to know is well, what can we do for the child? What damages are recoverable? I tell folks that the damages that are recoverable for your child are really two.

One would be for medical bills, medical bills that have already been incurred and for medical treatment bills that you are going to incur in the future for your child. The second is for pain, and suffering, and loss of enjoyment of life. How has this injury negatively impacted your child? What could your child do beforehand that your child can’t do now? What type of pain and suffering is your child undergoing?

Really, it falls into two categories. We tell perspective clients that they can recover for their child’s pain and suffering as well as for medical bills.
